TROJAN SOFTBALL takes two "W"

James Island Softball is on a roll!!  Tuesday night they played a Double Header (DH) at home vs. Goose Creek.  THey lost the first game 10-8, but won the second game 9-7!!  GO TROJANS!!  I am so proud of my husband, he is doing such a great job...

Tonight JI played away vs. Berkeley!  They WON 9-8!! GO TROJANS...
Have I said yet, I am proud of my Husband... I am def. So proud!!

Friday night we have DH again, and this time vs. Wando.  TBA :)

Newlywed Class

I am not sure how often I have mentioned but we LOVE our Sunday School class and teachers!!
We had a wonderful Sunday with them this week.  Our class went out to lunch after Sunday School and Church this past Sunday!! Patrick and I got a great opportunity to get to know more couples then  just what we do before and after S.S.  Then that evening we had our DINNER for 8!  It is a time several couples are picked and go to dinner or provide dinner together. This time we were with Kenny and Marianne, (our teachers) and Holly and Ben and Elizabeth and David.  It was a blast!!
We had Pork from the teachers, Holly brought Sour Cream Mashed Potatoes, I brought Broc/Cheese Casserole and Elizabeth brought Pound Cake with Strawberries. 
I am highly looking forward to the next dinner, I think this time it is Dinner for 6~~

It is just a blessing to find wonderful friends and a church family~!

Softball Games and Tournaments

Well Softball is definately underway!!  I am sure I will miss a few games on here, but they are having a pretty good season.  The girls are having a blast and Patrick too!! We have had several home and away games so far.  We played Stratford away and lost 10-0 (which we hear was worst last year :).) Then Colleton County away and lost 4-1, and then we played Fort Dorchester away this last Wednesday and lost 18-10.  We have played at home, Summerville and lost (not sure of the score), and Ashley Ridge was a tie.  We are having a BLAST so far!!

The girls had an all day tournament this past Saturday, March 27th.  We played in Mt. Pleasant and our first game was at 8am.  We played Stratford, which did not make any of us very happy.. Let's just say they stomp everyone they play!!  We lost 19-1 I think.  Then we played again at 12:00pm against Northwoods Academy. We lost that game like 12-0 I believe.  The girls only got a 1 game break this time, and played again at 2:40pm against Colleton County, and WON 5-4. It was a wonderful game!!!  We then were placed in the 3rd seed bracket and played at 5:40 against Fort Dorchester. 
In the first inning it was 10-0 Fort D, and was not encouraging at all.. However our girls came back and fought hard... we tied it 10-10!!!  We were so excited and could have walked away then, :) ..  In the 2nd inning we held them 3 up 3 down, and we got  1 run to make it 11-10.  Entering the 3rd, we were told this would be the final inning due to time with tournaments.  They got 4 runs and made it 11-14, we were determined and with the final bat, we tied it 14-14, as we got the winning run around the bags and into home they called the game with the final score 15-14!! IT was awesome! I was so proud of them and Patrick.

We play tonight, March 30th a DH at home vs. Goose Creek.  I am excited to see if the girls will get another W off a great weekend!!

Needless to say we are having fun indeed.  We have away game Wednesday night vs. Berkely and we play a DH Friday home vs. Wando!!  GO TROJANS!!

Walk for a Cure

Maggie is a sweet softball girl that plays for Patrick.  We love her family dearly.  Last weekend we volunteered for a walk that she was apart of.  Maggie has Juvenile Diabetes and there was a walk on Daniel Island for the Charleston Chapter. It was such a beautiful day, around 73 degrees and no clouds.  We were able to help hand out fruit, drinks and anything else that was needed. I loved being able to help and support her and the team as Patrick's wife.  We had a wonderful time.

Buying the Finishing Touches

After the Makeover, we we out the that weekend and got several things that would update and finish the makeover.  Marianne suggested, to take our Fiestaware and bring some of the colors into the living room, so we got some colored throw pillows for our red couches, and took the black ones to the bedroom. She also suggested that we move the big mirror from the dining room to the living room and have some small table or something under it.  We found an awesome black shelf at Target, and lamp, and now it is perfect to hold our Wedding Albums etc. It is still crazy to  me to think, how just a few things made so much of a change to our Apartment! We are still loving it, and can't wait to entertain some!!!

Marianne's Home Makeover

So excited about the Home Makeover!! Marianne and the girls came over last night, and redecorated our house!! I can't wait to place the photos of before and after up!! It was so much fun, and I learned so much about decorating!!

Patrick had to head out, and go shopping and burn some time while we all got to have some girls time. :) But the house looks so much better and bigger!!

PRINCESS is in a Dog Photo Competition

We have entered Princess into the Bissell MVP dog contest.  So needless to say I am campaigning for her to get VOTES daily now :) .. She is up from March 12-18th. If she gets in the TOP 5, then she will enter the Semi- Finals in 2 weeks to run for the FACE of BISSELL for 2010!

Nasty Rain Makes for a Great Weekend

So the Rain started after the game on Wednesday night and continued all day on Thursday. We even had a little bit on Friday as well. So thankfully due to this.. Patrick had a FREE weekend!! Friday night the fields were too wet, and Saturday's tournament as well was moved to a later date!!
We enjoyed a wonderful evening Friday night, of a home cooked meal, and then MOVIE DATE NIGHT, to see Alice and Wonderland in 3D.  It was a great movie!!
Then Saturday, we enjoyed a nice peaceful morning, and wonderful day!
We took a Picnic Lunch to the park in Downtown Charleston with Princess.
It was a little windy, but over all a very nice day. Then Patrick and I headed to the mall, to walk around and enjoy looking ;) . 
The evening was spent playing board games, and bathing our little girl!
I love weekends like this, and need to teasure them, especially during Coaching Season !!

JICHS Softball Season is Underway

YAY , GO TROJANS!... Monday night was the first game to start Softball Season!! J.I. Played West Ashley and WON!!!!  17-7!! I was so proud of them, and of Patrick! He is doing such a great job coaching softball, and you can tell the girls are having so much fun!!
Princess came to the ball field to see all the girls and her daddy coach!! She wasn't sure of the yelling and cheering, but she has 20 great babysitters and they have officially named her the mascot!! (I am guessing my little buddy will be at home games with me.. lol)

We then had one day break and then Last night (Wednesday), had our first away game.  We played Stratford High School, and had a Double Header (DH).  We lost both games 0-10, but I must mention that SHS is a GREAT program for sure.. The girls were saying last year they lost 19 and 23 or so to 0.  So they did a lot better this year, and HAD FUN!!

We are in this season full forth in week 1, We have a Home game on Friday  night this week, and they are saying the weather should get to about 78 on Friday!! YAY for warmer weather...

Then on Saturday we have our 1st Tournament of the SEASON!! (did I mention we are full forth into softball on week 1... oh ok, just checking.. lol).  We will play in Mt. Pleasant! This is a double elimination day, so we start at 8am.. FUN, FUN :) ... yes warmer weather again Saturday, so this does help out a LOT!....

The Last Few Weeks!!

The Last few weeks have been busy and fun!!

We got to get away the weekend of Feb. 26-27th, to Myrtle Beach, SC.  Patrick had a coach's conference there in MB, so we went and stayed at his parents house. They were not there due to visiting Matt and Rayna in Florida, so we got to spend the night and day with Granny and Mrs. Dozier. It was a wonderful visit with both of them!! I also got to spend some time that Saturday with some wonderful new friends, Brittany and her soon to be mother n law Michelle!  I loved getting to chat and help Brittany as she is planning her wedding!! Such exciting times for her and Bradley!  Patrick and I headed back to Charleston later that afternoon to make it back for Sunday here at our church!

Sunday Feb. 28th, was a lot of fun. We got to help celebrate with a surprise Birthday party for one of the wives in our Sunday School class! Her Hubby pulled off a great surprise, and we loved the fellowship together!!

~That night I also had the great chance of meeting a wonderful new friend and couple, who has some great connections for a possible job situation for me! GOD IS SO GOOD, and HIS TIMING IS UNBELIEVALBE!  I was so excited to get to meet new friends, and see what doors are opening! So far I have had a few interviews, and great promises opportunities, no job yet, but I know God has the right time for me and I can't wait!!!

I was only home for about 2 days last week as I left for Nationals on the 3rd! It was  such an awesome experience to get to do be apart of something I love so much! I got to Judge Nationals this year in Concord NC.  It was sad to not see NGU there to represent, first time in 2 years, but it was great to see some wonderful teams compete and new COLLEGES too!!
Sheila Moore, who designed my incredible wedding invitations, is now the Cheerleading coach for SWU and brought her team there. THEY did such a great job, for only having about 2 weeks to get ready for NATIONALS, they took hom 2nd place!! YAY Sheila!!
That weekend was a lot of fun, I was gone from Wendnesday evening until late Saturday night!! I sure did miss Patrick and little Princess, but I loved getting to be apart of Cheerleading for that many days!!

I am glad to be home, and got home just in time to clean the house and get our new guest Mattress delievered and finish setting up that ROOM! I am so excited it is no complete!!

I am posting a picture or two of the Guest room and some of Princess meeting her big brother and Patrick's parents dog while visiting in MB.  (Princess's big brother is light Choc Brown, she was scared, but ended up loving him!!)

Has Been Awhile!
