Weekend in NC and Softball Party!

This was a fun weekend for sure! We headed to Loris, SC on Friday night to see Patrick's parents, and stop halfway. We were headed to Coats, NC to visit some wonderful friends of ours! WE had such a great time!!
I got to see my Plate Rack from my Father n law!! I absolutely love it.. and of course I somehow found my way to Kohl's to get some more Fiestaware!!


We left early Saturday morning from Loris and went to Coats! We were there before lunch and had a wonderful time hanging out with Brittany and JB. We did some girl things that afternoon, and met back up with the boys for dinner and renting a movie for the night!.. But not before stopping by and getting some wonderful Ice Cream from a place called Sunny Sky's... :) 


Sunday morning we headed back to Charleston, as Patrick had a softball end of the year party at 2pm. It was a lot of fun, we got the ice cream and the team each brought items for the cookout! They grilled hamburgers and the girls and parents played softball together.  Needless to say Patrick hit 2 home runs, NICE JOB HONEY!!... it was a great day all in all! :) 


I always hate to see the weekends end, but I am enjoying my job greatly, and so the week days I am finding are just as fun!

Blessings

Lately it has been one of those times, when you are extremely blessed and God keeps showing He is in control and doors open that you are blown away, kind of times!
And no I can't yet explain what news we are so excited about.. But God is working, and we are praying and seeking Him right for the right doors to continue to open and the right things to fall into place! 


However, I am excited that this weekend we get to go see JB and Brittany Bennett.. He was a groomsmen in our wedding, and the time I have spent around Brittany, shows how sweet of a person she really is!


One more day until the weekend!!


Caswell, keeps me pretty busy all the time, but he is so good and def. fun to watch!!

PROM at James Island

So prom night was this past weekend! Patrick was asked if he would Chaperone prom and get paid, so OF COURSE he said yes!! ;) It was a fun night for sure. We decided to go and spend sometime as well with some other coaches, and their wives/husbands. It was good time, had by all. 
I was excited to get to wear again my Rehearsal Dinner dress, and Patrick even found a Purple tie to match!! 
As we left prom, we decided to all go to Applebees for 1/2 price App. (everyday 1/2 price after 10:30pm).  
It was a late night, and I felt completely too old, but it was SO MUCH FUN!!

HAPPY CINCO DE MAYO

If there is a reason for me to celebrate something or cook something special, I am all about it!!
I was so excited about CINCO DE MAYO! We love Mexican, so I decided to make a big mexican dinner and celebrate in the Turner house.  We served black beans, rice, salsa, chips, Gordita's, Tacos, beef and chicken and all the other fixins. It was SOOO GOOD!!

I HAVE A JOB!!

I feel so blessed, and truly thankful that God has provided me with a wonderful JOB!  In between our busy weekend, it was also a wonderful blessing! During our Game night, Laura Romeo informed me she had a friend who's friend was looking for a Nanny for a 5 month old son. :) I told her sure I was interested and gave my number to her friend to pass along.  Needless to say on Sunday Anna Greta Taylor called me and informed me of them needing a Nanny, and asked if when I got home from the Picnic if I wouldn't mind coming over and interviewing for the position. 
So sure enough as soon as I was back in West Ashley I headed the 4 mile away trip for the interview!! :) 
We quickly realized we go to the same church and they were at one time in the same Newlywed Class with the Caldwell's.  
We had a wonderful interview, and they told me they would talk to me in a few days, they were interviewing some more. 
Well about 2 hours later, they called me and said after speaking to Marianne Caldwell and talking since I left, they felt as though they wanted to hire me!!! I WAS SO EXCITED!!!


Little Caswell is 5 months old on May 15th! He is super cute, and such a good baby!!


I am watching him durning the days from about 6am or 8am until late afternoon/evening.  A few times needing to stay 24 hours with him. 
I am having such a great time. I started officially last Wednesday the 5th! 
Thank you Lord for blessing me with a job, and for everyone who has been praying for us~ :) 
It is a temporary but Full time job, until the first week of August~

A Busy but FUN weekend!

So the last weekend of April proved to be a busy but FUN weekend for us.  It all started on Friday night the 30th. We attended Dinner for 8 at Kyle and Leigh's house! It was so much fun. We had a wonderful Grilled out Dinner with AJ and Tassi, Kyle and Leigh, and Morgan and Robert.  We were very full afterwards :) .  
Saturday was not a very lazy normal saturday either.  May 1st was celebrated with a wonderful GAME NIGHT, hosted at our home!  We had 6 wonderful couples over, and found ourselves having so much fun, we all did not leave until after midnight!! 
Scrabble was def. in the mix, some Balderdash and of course guys vs. girls in DISNEY SCENE IT!  :) It was a blast!!


Sunday was another fun, and busy day as well!  We all attended our regular 9am service at church, and then our Sunday School class decided to do Sunday School at our Teachers house. Followed by a wonderful Picnic on the lawn, and great yard games!! It was a BEAUTIFUL Charleston day as well!! 


WE love our Church family very much, and the wonderful relationships we are building!

Our Baby, for Now

Princess is our little baby for now, so needless to say I take lots of pictures of her. But she is a great model!! ;)

We have found a birds nest on our porch, and Princess is loving the birds!!
We are having to keep her in the house so she doesn't bark and scare the poor mommy bird though :(.

The babies are not hatched yet, so we are waiting..

Softball season is Over!

Softball season ended with past Friday, at home vs. Berkeley.  We won 17-10, and the girls had a wonderful time!  It was a great evening, but I must admit that I am honestly thankful no more softball. I actually get my hubby back for about 2 weeks!!

Football Spring begins on May 10th.. :) The life of a Coach's wife.. BUT I LOVE IT!!

Trip to Florida

It was a quick trip to Florida for the funeral, but I did get to spend some wonderful time with my sister, Jadyn and my family.  Patrick could not go due to school and coaching. I went to the game on Tuesday night and then left for Augusta, Ga early on Wednesday morning. I got to Augusta to pick up my sister and Jadyn and then we hit the mall before hitting the road to Jville. We got into Jville around 5pm and got to spend a fun evening with my brother, sister and Jadyn. J made us dinner, and took us out for Yogurt at yogurt city, it was a blast!!

Jadyn has grown so much, she is so sweet!! It was fun to see her and interact with her as well.  

The funeral was on Friday at 3:00pm, and viewing at 1pm. We had so many wonderful friends and family there to support us. My wonderful cousin and best friend Amy took off work and was there for me. I love her!!  The funeral was a very sweet service to remember the life of my Papa. We love him so much.  After the funeral we had wonderful people who had a dinner for us, and got so spend some more time with friends/family.  Needless to say we hit the road that night back to Jville and got back early morning.
I spent most of Saturday morning/afternoon with my family, mom and dad and Jadyn. She got to play with my first doll ever which was too cute!!
I headed back to Charleston that night to be welcomed by my wonderful Hubby and little Princess.
